MINDING YOUR BUSINESS PRE SECTION 2024

I use to be "If I think it I write it."

Thanks to life, I need a vacation just to write. I wish my thoughts would just transcribe to paper, but that is a whole other story all together. Sitting here at work, waiting for a call, thinking about what I would like to share with you today.

ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME

Not my best pic, but what you see, is what you get.

NO THIS IS NOT MY ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME

I am a six year licensed health insurance agent for more than 5 major carriers in over 35 states. I work from home and I love what I do. I am getting better by the minute being an agent. My dad gets tired of me talking about insurance and I am his agent...lol

I even have my sixteen year old granddaughter in becoming an agent when she turns 18 and work it part time while in college when she graduates but we will get to her later in a later Ari. Yeah, Granny life kinda lit....

In addition to being a full time agent, mother of 3. Grandmother of 2.5, (gbaby on the way), I started a business resource company in 2009. I started out pressing shirts for local artists around the city and it developed into conversations that resulted in profit for my clients. Just random conversations about business ideas I didn't realize I had store in me. (Gift) (Tbh-this blog is a draft I started back in August and life got in the way. Jordan (my grandson just celebrated being with us for 9 months.

More so, a gift that I earned...

Memory Lane-

Being the only child, I never considered myself to be lonely, rather than I definitely had a lot of alone time. For some reason, I am know to have beautiful handwriting and because of that, I love to write. I also always had a thing for words so I love to read. I would sit in the bathroom just to read the newspaper. I was reading the employment secion at the age of 8 and dont ask me why because I would not be able to tell you.

MINDING YOUR BUSINESS YOUR WAY 2024

  FRIENDLY BUSINESS ADVICE

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, in 1974. I was born three days before Thanksgiving. I always considered myself a "gift" to society, because I have always been a giver. I walked on my 1st birthday and attended school from the age of 18 months to 32.

From high school through college, I studied everything from business administration, psychology, starting a business, tax law, and various other subjects that have enabled me to do what I love which is almost everything I set my mind to.

Creativity is what I feed off of.

I worked in more than 40% of the call centers in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, over the past 20 years. I have gained experience and networked with quite a few individuals. I have attended business seminars as a hobby, educating myself to assist others. I have conducted a few workshops of my own ranging from small business start ups and one on one business coaching.

You will see me cover different aspects of entrepreneurship, ranging from

till quickly developing the mindset to take action and apply it to your business

IT WAS THE VISION FOR ME

IF YOU CAN SEE IT-YOU CAN ACHEIVE IT

WHEN life throws you lemons, you make lemonade. I run over obstacles everyday of my life. It seems as if there is so much to do, and not enough time to do it. Have you ever felt like everything that could go wrong does? That was my past week. What I took from my obstacles, is to restore my faith. I understand my purpose in life is helping others. I also know that I can't help others unless I help myself first. It's okay to be giving, it is also okay with being selfish. You will just have to balance the two out.

Here's an article I just wrote... I hope it reaches those that may be interested...

Luv~Ur~City Inc, has been dedicated to helping others since 2009. Over the course of the years, I have been researching and educating myself to share my knowledge with others.

I am always looking for ways to bring the latest and bullet point ways of starting different business. I ran across an idea you may like. There is not enough space here so I will share with you a checklist of starting a Truck Business-Inspired by David Weber-The Food Truck Handbook: Start, Grow, and Succeed in the Mobile Food Business

Of course you will have to pass a course and get the proper license depending on your state. After that, now what do you do. Do you go job searching or you do you step out on faith, and start your own business.

If starting your business shoots to the front of your brain, I say DO IT!!

Here is a little checklist to keep you guided..

  1. Create Database-Act your size, It’s ok, to start small (small manufacturers Ma/Pa shops, Independent Business, tour the local industry parks, and
  2. Initial Contact-Call or email to market your business-detail your services, inform them of how many trucks, employees you have…. if you don’t now, don’t worry. That’s why this is a checklist. Do not let it overwhelm you, but the checklist helps out as guideline to your business plan.
  3. Freight Brokers-Bridges the gap between a carrier and a shipper..
  4. Marketing-Follow Up Emails-Call once a week, be consistent-set up appointments /meetings to discuss possible contacts and opportunities-Research what’s needed from ocnsumers-Make sure to market all key points
  5. Government Agencies-(think bigger)-Major clients of trucking companies-Needed for dumping services….
  6. When in doubt, Moving truck company
  7. 7. Network, Market, Flyer, Business Cards, Social Media….
